Lesson 1: Introduction to Photo Book Production

In this foundational lesson, participants will be introduced to the art of producing captivating photo books. The lesson will highlight the core steps involved in creating a photo book, from selecting images to organising them in a coherent narrative that engages and resonates with viewers.


Lesson 2: Preparing Your Content

Participants will learn the significance of carefully choosing and organising their images to align with the intended narrative. The session will provide guidance on curating images in a way that guides the audience through a compelling visual journey, ensuring a seamless and immersive storytelling experience.


Lesson 3: Design and Layout

Participants will explore the creative realm of design and layout in photo book production. Various design approaches will be explored, and layout principles such as balance, alignment, and the use of white space will be covered in detail. Typography and captions will also take centre stage, as participants understand how these elements can enhance the narrative and add depth to their photo book projects.


Lesson 4: Software and Tools

In this practical lesson, participants will be introduced to popular design software. They will receive hands-on guidance on using selected software to create layouts that bring their narrative to life. The session will also provide insights into managing technical aspects like image resolution, colour profiles, and bleed areas to ensure the final product meets professional standards.


Lesson 5: Editing and Post-Processing

The session will explore the role of editing in fine-tuning photo book content, and basic post-processing techniques will be shared for enhancing images. Consistency in colour grading and style across the entire book will be emphasised to maintain a unified visual experience.


Lesson 6: Creating a Prototype
