Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Coetzee’s photographic practice explores intimate micro-societies where past and present converge. His images are marked by a fragmented focus that elevates the vernacular, the strange, and the ordinary, inviting slow and attentive looking.
Coetzee has received multiple Sony Profoto Gold and Silver Awards for his Openspaces series and has been recognised by the Sasol New Signatures and ABSA L’Atelier competitions. His work forms part of the Sasol Permanent Collection.
Each print includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Prices are for unframed works. Once sold, no further editions will be produced.
